Deptford Creek is a half-mile, muddy, tidal stretch of the River Ravensbourne running south from a huge sweep of the Thames opposite Docklands. Although it is lost today amongst the sprawling urban landscape, it has been a vitally important place in the past, and it is set to be an inspiration for the future. Its name gives a clue to its original significance. It was later the site of Henry VIII's ship-building yard, and a hive of industry. But times changed, industry declined, and this particular Land Lines puzzle is all about what was left behind and what has moved in since then.
