Connor is 16 years old. He moved to the area a year ago - with his mother Catrin and younger brother Liam - to escape his physically abusive father.

Connor and Liam have both been affected by the violence they witnessed growing up. Still, for Connor, it is more complicated: he is unable to process the guilt he feels for not protecting his mother from his father's attacks.

Upon their move to Blaenau Ffestiniog, he falls in with local girl Mia and her cousin, Lee, desperate to feel a part of something, to belong. And although his mother is initially pleased to see him make friends, she increasingly worries about Mia's influence over him.

Since the murder of Geraint Ellis, he has not been able to sleep. Guilt-stricken and angry, he struggles to regulate his emotions and make sense of the man he is becoming.
