Despite being a year older than his cousin Mia, Lee feels like he has always been in her shadow. He knows she is intellectually superior to him and, over the years, has witnessed first-hand her ability to get other people to do her bidding.

Lee can be aggressive and thoughtless, but underneath it all, he's confused and looking for guidance. As with Connor, Lee's home life is troubled, with an absent mother, a violent older brother, and an infirm father whose care he is responsible for.

In the weeks since the murder of Geraint Ellis, Lee has struggled to control and navigate his emotions. Like Connor, he is utterly out of his depth.
