Herbert Henry Asquith
Herbert Henry Asquith was the Liberal Prime Minister from 1908-1916.
Herbert Henry Asquith, was born in Morley in Yorkshire on 12 September 1852. Of a middle-class family, Asquith attended Balliol College and was chair of the Oxford Union. He became a barrister in 1876, in London and then QC. He was elected MP for East Fife in 1886.
