"It’s the best time of the day" he crows. And it is for a growing army of night time people and 'halflings' - those whose wakeful periods coincide with some, if not all of the show.
It gives people a chance to use their imaginations and a programme never goes by without someone coming up with a brilliantly funny ideaAlex Lester
Described variously as "surreal, bizarre, hilarious and unfathomable" the programme sets out to do what no other programme does - entertain with an eclectic mix of music including selections from Alex's personal collection, his spare bedroom and a unique take on the world at large.

Flights of fancy have included 'ageing' people by their choice of TV's Doctor Who, owning up to 'Puppet Love' and creating a 'National Conscious Anthem'.
"It gives people a chance to use their imaginations and a programme never goes by without someone coming up with a brilliantly funny idea," says Alex.
"He's like a mate in the cab" said one listener and breakfast show DJs up and down the country regularly say "thanks for the material".
