We’ve got a new music feature for After Midnight – we’re going to try to create a sort of virtual musical map of the UK.

It’s very simple, we’d just like you to tell us where a singer or member of a band is from and we’ll play a track from them and mark their hometown on the map.

The plan is that over the next few weeks and months we’ll make a musical map of the UK.

We are especially keen to give a mention to places that don’t often get one – so we pretty much all know The Beatles were from Liverpool but we’d really like to hear more about places like Hebden Bridge where Ed Sheeran was born, or Tiger Bay in Cardiff where Dame Shirley Bassey hails from.
