Everything you need to know about 1Xtra Live in Glasgow
The event is happening at the Riverside Museum, 100 Pointhouse Place, Glasgow, G3 8RS (please see map below)
Doors open at 5.30pm on Saturday 17th May and the event will finish at 11pm.
Entrance & Box Office
Ticket holders should come to the main entrance of the museum and head to the Box Office (please see map below)
Age Restrictions
This event is for those over 16 only and ID will be requested at the entrance.
The following forms of ID will be accepted:
1. A valid passport
2. A valid European Union Photocard Driving Licence
3. A valid photographic identity card bearing the National Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) hologram.
Please ensure you bring a form of ID with you!
There will be food and bars on site where both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks can be purchased.
Bars will be operating a βChallenge 25β policy. If bar staff feel you look under the age of 25 they will ask you to provide photo ID with proof that you are 18 or over. The three forms of ID above will be the only ones that will be accepted.
How do I get in?
Ticket holders will be able to access the site via the main entrance on Pointhouse Place. The entrance is fully wheelchair accessible.
Stewards will be on duty at both entrances to ensure that ticket holders conform to the events Terms and Conditions, specifically:Β
β’ Ticket holders must be aged 16 and over
β’ Only ticket holders enter the queue
β’ No alcohol is consumed. Food and alcohol are not permitted on site with the exception of personal water supplier in plastic containers with unbroken seals (up to 500 ml per person). Glass and cans are not permitted
What facilities are available for disabled people?

If you would like to use some or all of our facilities, please notify us by Friday 16th May to give us time to make the appropriate arrangements. Some facilities will only be available to a limited number of users and telling us your needs in advance will help us in the planning process. Anyone turning up on the day without making prior arrangements may not be able to access our facilities if they are full to capacity.

How do I get there?
Subway
Riverside Museum is serviced by 2 Subway Stations at Partick and Kelvin Hall and can be accessed following a 10 minute walk along a signposted route from Partick or a 20 minute walk from Kelvin Hall. Please note there is a very limited service post 10.30am and we strongly suggest you get a shuttle bus into town to make your onward journey home.
Shuttle Bus
At the end of the night, a dedicated free shuttle bus service will be running from the Riverside Museum into the City Centre with stops at Buchanan Bus Station and Central Station. These will only be operating from the event, with regular shuttle buses running from 22:30.
Rail
Riverside Museum is serviced by Scotrail at Partick Station and can be accessed following a 10 minute walk on a signposted route.
Buses
First Bus services numbers 2, 3, 6, 8, 18, 41, 42, 90, 254, 255, 263, 500, 747(Airport) all stop at Partick Interchange and the Riverside Museum can be accessed following a 10 minute walk on a signposted route.
Taxis
A Taxi rank will located outside the front of the Riverside Museum for pick up and drop off.
Walking
There are a number of walking route to the Riverside Museum location. From City Centre head south onto Clydeside Walkway and follow the riverside walkway past the SECC then a further 500m until you reach the location.
Cycling
The Riverside Museum is on the National Cycling Route 7. 28 racks are available around the location.

There is no Public Parking around the venue.
Drop offs/Pickups
Bunhouse street and South Street (West).
Blue Badge Parking
Blue Badge parking will be within the venue and accessed from Stobcross road.

The event finishes at 11pm, please plan your journey home before you attend this event and check the train times to your destination as the city centre will be very busy!
