Carol Cooper
Make Up Designer
Carol Cooper began her designing career at Thames Television. Her first assignment was for A Voyage Round My father, John Mortimer's homage to his father starring Sir Laurence Olivier, Alan Bates and Jane Asher.
More recent design work includes diverse projects such as Lynda La Plante's gritty crime dramas Trial and Retribution and The Commander, the BAFTA-nominated Housewife 49, ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Two’s , starring Eddie Marsan, and Charlie Higson's The Incredible Adventures of Professor Branestawm.
“The Musketeers presented a wonderful challenge. The timeline has moved on four years, and we are in the middle of war with Spain! These are the beginnings of discontent and internal battles – France and its people are changing.
I wanted to keep the integrity of the previous two series, but move it on and up a notch both in time and style. With many wonderful new characters to bring these amazing stories to life, I wanted to create a balance between period style and a little dramatic license, with fantasy and reality colliding.
It has been a total joy to be part of this creative process.”
