Rowing: Lightweight Double Scull excited to get going
Zak Lee-Green and Sam Mottram are looking to forge an exciting new partnership.
As the first rowing World Cup of the year approaches, the British Rowing Menβs Lightweight Double Scull are looking to set down a marker in the competitive season.
βItβs going really well, Iβm really enjoying it, Samβs pretty good,β Lee-Green told ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Berkshireβs Tim Dellor. βHeβs just towing me along to be honest, and Iβm just enjoying the ride.
βA few weeks ago we got selected in the double, and now itβs all hard work together.β
And Mottram is aware that both he and Lee-Green are following in illustrious sculling footsteps.
βIt is a very exclusive, small club, and thereβs probably only six, seven people who have competed in it since the [Zac] Purchase and [Mark] Hunter era.
βItβs a very exclusive club to be a member of.β
