Rebecca Girling will race in both the pair and the eight in the first World Cup of 2018.

Many of the British Rowing squad are doubling up at the first World Cup of the year in Belgrade, but it鈥檚 something that excites Girling.

鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to it, but they鈥檙e very different boats to row,鈥� Girling told 麻豆约拍 Radio Berkshire鈥檚 Tim Dellor. 鈥淭he eight is super fast, and for the pair you just have to be so in tune with the person you鈥檙e rowing with.

鈥淲e don鈥檛 know how fast we are in comparison to the rest of the world, and we get to find out in two different boats.鈥�

And Girling says she has ambitious aims for the competition.

鈥淲e have no idea who else is going, but I鈥檇 love to be on the podium for both.

鈥淲henever I sit on a start line, my main priority is that we row the best we can.鈥�
