Daryl Murphy 'feared he'd be dropped'
Ipswich striker Daryl Murphy believes he was close to losing his place in the Town team before he scored his recent hat-trick at Rotherham.
That treble ended a run of 16 Town games without a goal for the 32 year old, which is remarkable given that he was the Championship's top scorer last season, with 27 goals.
"I knew that I had to start playing well and getting back on the score sheet and thankfully that happened," Murphy said.
