Francis McKee | Extended Interview
Shereen in conversation with Francis McKee in his tenth year as Art Director of Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts.
When he took over the post the centre was really struggling to survive on a budget that was assigned to the much smaller pre-refurb space.
Francis turned this round with some out-of-the-box thinking and created a blueprint that is now being copied by art centres across the globe.
In this extended interview he tells us about his time with the CCA and his plans for it’s future as well as his unusual journey into the arts starting in South Armagh. He also explains to Shereen how spiritualism and protest are closely related according to the book he is currently writing.
