A new law that makes squatting in residential property a criminal offence has been criticised by former squatters and legal experts in Northamptonshire. Plus littering from cars.

A new law is set to make squatting in residential property a criminal offence punishable by imprisonment or a fine. Stuart talks to former squatters Ambrose Doherty and Eddie Parks, to Linda Howard - a solicitor in landlord and tenant department at Shoosmiths in Northampton, to Mark Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔr - the director of Progressive Property which has around 250 properties in Corby, Wellingborough and Peterborough, and to Chris Town - the Vice-Chair of the Residential Landlords Association.

In a bid to stop people littering from cars, the Council to Protect Rural England is backing calls for the driver or owner to be automatically prosecuted unless they provide details of who the threw the litter. Stuart talks to Sir Paul Hayter, the Chairman of the Northamptonshire branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), and reporter James Tzanoudakis is in Mears Ashby to meet CPRE community litter warden Vicky Smith.
