A Kent couple survive the sinking of the Costa Concordia

A couple from Kent who were rescued from the luxury liner which ran aground and capsized off the west coast of Italy have been speaking about their ordeal.
The Costa Concordia, carrying more than 4,200 people, was on a Mediterranean cruise when it ran aground in calm conditions.
Five people are known to have died, while 15 remain unaccounted for. John and Mandy Rodford from Rochester were on the ship celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary. They had only been on board for seven hours when the chaos began (O6:07; 07:07 and 08:08).
There are concerns that the latest new supermarket to open in Kent this morning will cause gridlock on the local roads.
The supermarket chain ASDA is opening its new store on the North Farm Industrial Estate in Tunbridge Wells at ten o'clock. It is giving rise to fears that the extra traffic will cause problems on an already busy estate (06:22, 07:22 and 08:22).
Newly-released figures show that Kent is among the worst counties for uninsured driving. More than 3,300 people were fined for the offence in 2010, but the average fine was only Β£320.
The Conservative MP and former Kent magistrate Karl McCartney is spearheading a campaign to get something done about it (06:12 and 08:17).
