Gemma Sterba sits in alongside John with the latest news, travel, and weather for Kent.

It is transport day on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Kent. We look at the future of transport in Kent and whether the current travel network is up to scratch. It is something that affects us all on a daily basis and can have a huge impact on our lifestyle.

We have all got views on how to improve things. The Campaign for Better Transport thinks council bosses in Kent should focus more on fixing roads and improving bus services, instead of lobbying for major road schemes.

Campaigners say big schemes like a third Thames Crossing and the widening of A21 in West Kent are unrealistic in the current economic climate, and may never happen.

However consultants KPMG which researched the potential of a new crossing, says the case for an extra bridge or tunnel may now be stronger in the current economic climate.
