Serial nester
Kate Humble and Chris Packham dicuss male wren breeding habits. The male often builds a succession of nests, and attracts different females to them. The females line the nests and the male mates with the different females, ending up with several broods. He then busily sets about looking after all the different families and will do most of the feeding - as one brood fledges the next will be hatching.
