Frolicking foxes
Furry, bright eyed, bushy tailed and above all playful, frolicking fox cubs are surely the very epitome of fun and they are becoming more and more familiar to us, seen regularly in gardens and allotments across the country. When Bill Oddie was a child, foxes lived in the countryside, they were definitely considered vermin and as they were nocturnal, they were virtually invisible. Nowadays, like millions of other people, Bill has the pleasure of seeing foxes almost every day. There's not really a lot negative you can say about fox cubs, except perhaps that they grow up. But that's when the trouble begins. Foxes are known to raid bins, chew up garden ornaments and they have blood curdling calls which can keep many a person awake all night. In the countryside, things aren't much better - it has to be acknowledged that around 2% of farm chickens are predated by foxes.
