One of the main predators of the banded mongoose pups are marabou storks, who are quite capable of taking even large pups whole. When the local marabou visits the lodge, it's the job of the adult mongooses to protect the pups from their stabbing beaks, but today some of the youngsters seems prepared to take on the storks themselves. The Banded Brothers family can't afford to lose any more pups, so the adults eventually soon get involved and, this time at least, the stork is driven off by their combined effort.
