After losing her job, Mama Pasto couldn’t afford to send her children to school.Β  She was trained as a β€œcommunity collector” with WasteAid, and now makes a living collecting and selling on plastic waste she collects from clogged local waterways.Β

Thanks to the training Mama Pasto received, her children are now in school, and she has a more secure future. She is proud to pass on what she has learned, too. She says β€œI can say I have left a legacy, and young people are working because of me.”
