is restoring beavers to regenerate our landscapes. In the face of the climate and biodiversity crises, beavers bring meaningful environmental benefits. They are a missing native species, having been hunted to extinction in Britain.

Since 2021, Beaver Trust has released beavers at sites across Scotland, England and Wales. We move beavers around Britain; taking them to new homes where they, and the wetlands they create, can flourish.

We are increasingly seeing the impact of extreme weather.  Beavers are ‘ecosystem engineers’; by building dams and creating wetlands, they help to make our landscapes more resilient to both flooding and drought.
