Action on Postpartum Psychosis
Meet Laura
Author Laura Dockrill experienced postpartum psychosis in 2018. The frightening symptoms made Laura feel unable to trust herself and anyone around her. APP’s peer support helped her find connection, recovery and community.
What is postpartum psychosis (PP)?
PP is a severe postnatal mental illness. It can occur after giving birth in people with no prior mental health problems. It causes mood changes, hallucinations, delusions and requires urgent care. But with the right help, people make a full recovery.
