Idia’s Community Kitchen in Hackney serves 1,000 patrons a week a hot meal, fresh surplus produce and a chat. Supplied by FareShare, founder Aina Omo-Bare and team provide a safe space for people to talk, access essentials and even get life advice.

From collecting food from local businesses & distributing them on the street, when Aina then began cooking meals pre-pandemic, another charity let them use their kitchen. Demand grew, as did their offering…and with each move, the family grows too.
