The National Championships

The National Brass Band Championships bring all the top UK bands to the Royal Albert Hall to compete for this most coveted title. Frank Renton has all the highlights.

One piece of music, 20 of the UK's finest bands, the splendour of The Royal Albert. It can only be the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. Frank Renton has all the highlights of the day as Cory Band try to make it 3 in a row. The piece, Gallery by Howard Snell, is a series of musical reactions to six pictures with the composer giving specific seating instructions as well as all the musical ones. The complete winning performance will be available via the programmes web page for the next 30 days.
