Further Information:
Last year no fewer than 1,300 Welsh women entered a refuge. 1 in 4 women will experience violence at some time in her life, and globally it’s the biggest cause of death for women between the ages of 19-34.
Roy Jenkins discusses the issue of gender based violence with a panel of guests, including Christian organisations who are campaigning against it, and one Muslim woman whose organisation helps support women in Wales. He speaks also to the Bangor theologian who believes that some readings of the Bible could be part of the problem, rather than the solution.
