All Things Considered - Meet the presenters
Meet the team who bring us discussion and illuminating debate every Sunday morning.
Abdul-Azim Ahmed
Abdul-Azim Ahmed is an academic by occupation, and an organiser by vocation. His scholarly pursuits as Deputy Director of the Islam-UK Centre at Cardiff University focus on contemporary religion, civil society and institutions, and as Secretary General Muslim Council of Wales, he leads a body of mosques, Muslim charities, and collectives.
Azim lives in Cardiff, where he was born and raised, and is father to a young son. He enjoys anything that takes him away from his laptop screen, whether that is cycling, running, or completing poor quality DIY projects.
Rosa Hunt
Rosa Hunt is from Malta originally, and now lives in South Wales with her husband and whichever of their four sons is not living elsewhere at the time! She is a local church minister in a bilingual Welsh / English chapel, as well as being the Co-Principal of South Wales Baptist College.
Rosa's first degree was in Natural Sciences, and she went on to study theology when training for ministry, gaining a PhD in patristic hermeneutics. Her experience of living in several different countries as well as that of being a woman in ordained ministry, has given her a particular interest in language and power.
Roy Jenkins
Roy Jenkins has presented All Things Considered for the past 30 years. He has interviewed a huge range of people with stories of faith, courage and controversy - from leading religious and political figures, to singers and writers, comedians, death-row campaigners and convicted killers.
He’s explored some of the biggest moral and ethical questions of the day – and met people wrestling with them in the light of what they believe.
A broadcaster since 1974, Roy has also been a newspaper journalist and a Christian minister, and has appeared regularly on Radio 4 and Radio 2, as well as on Radio Wales.
Mary Stallard
Mary Stallard is the daughter of a scientist and a vicar and so was brought up in a household where there was great encouragement to ask questions about everything and to explore the world of faith.
She studied Theology at university and trained first as a teacher and then for Anglican ministry with education and faith-development remaining as key interests alongside reading, art and running.
Mary was amongst the first women ordained as priests in the Church in Wales and has enjoyed working in urban and rural contexts. She loves working with young people and is currently in a role supporting other clergy as Archdeacon of Bangor.
Jonathan Thomas
Jonathan Thomas has been in Christian ministry for over 20 years in a variety of roles across Wales. He is currently a church minister in the border town of Abergavenny, where he is also a father to three young boys.
A Welsh speaker, originally from west Wales, Jonathan has an interest in both the history of religion in Wales and its place in modern society. As such, he researches, writes and speaks on a variety of topics from Welsh Revivals and Thomas Charles, to communicating and preaching in a media-saturated culture. When he’s not reading books or raising children, Jonathan enjoys coffee and cycling.
