Music for Good Friday presented by Aled Jones including FaurΓ©'s Requiem with the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Concert Orchestra and Hertfordshire Chorus. Actors Hugh Bonneville and Emma Fielding read.

Aled Jones reflects on Good Friday and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ with powerful music and readings reflecting on the Passion - including a complete performance of Faure's Requiem.

The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Concert Orchestra, Hertfordshire Chorus, the youth choir Cantate, the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 Young Choristers of the Year, Ella Taylor and Liam Jones provide the music with Andrew Ashwin, the baritone soloist in FaurΓ©'s Requiem. They are joined in the beautiful St Albans Cathedral where actors Emma Fielding and Hugh Bonneville read from the King James Bible - in its 400th anniversary year - as well as ancient and contemporary poetry inspired by the story.

The conductor is Keith Lockhart, Hertfordshire Chorus are directed by David Temple, Cantate are directed by Nicholas Shaw, and the organist is Tom Winpenny.
