Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Merseyside is the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's local radio station covering Merseyside, North and West Cheshire and West Lancashire. It broadcasts a mix of local news, information, conversation, music and entertainment, reflecting life in the area.

What is the remit of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Merseyside?

The station offers a range of news and information about the editorial area along with national and international news. The programmes range from a speech-based breakfast programme on weekdays, mid-morning of topical discussion and humour, two hour lunchtime phone in, music and chat through the afternoon with a drivetime round-up of the day’s news. The day ends with a lively interactive late show.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Merseyside reflects local sport with an hour long sports programme each weekday evening, football commentaries on Liverpool, Everton and Tranmere plus reports on Chester and Southport. We are also the station for Rugby League with coverage of Warrington Wolves, St Helens and Widnes Vikings .

History of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Merseyside

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Merseyside was launched on November 22nd 1967 and was one of the first Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ local radio stations. It wasn’t long before the station developed a large and loyal following which it still enjoys. The style and sound of the station has changed over the years, but news and local information remains at the heart of all we do.
