Ruth McGinley

Ruth McGinley, from Derry, was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance as a Solo Recitalist in 2002 from the Royal College of Music in London.

She was also awarded the 20th Century Piano Competition Prize during her studies there. Ruth is a graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM), where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance with First Class Honours in 1999.

She has won many awards including the piano final of RTE's Young Musician of the Future in 1992.

In 1994 she won the piano final of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Musician of the Year.

Ruth was also the first recipient of the prestigious O'Reilly Foundation Scholarship. She has performed as soloist throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Her concerto appearances have included concerts with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Philharmonic, London Mozart Players, National Symphony Orchestra, RTE Concert Orchestra and the Ulster Orchestra.
