International success for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland's Black Watch documentary

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland has gained international recognition for a documentary which went behind the scenes of the acclaimed play about solders serving in Iraq, Black Watch.

Directed and produced by Iain Scollay, the 60-minute film, Black Watch: A Soldier's Story, won the International category in the Prix Circom Regional Programme Awards event.

The awards are regarded as the most prestigious in Europe for regional production and broadcasting and this year attracted 157 entries from 23 different European countries.

Circom Regional is an organisation of almost 300 public service broadcasting stations in the regions of Europe and across 38 states.

The documentary was screened on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two Scotland before the channel transmitted a performance of the play before a live audience in Dingwall.
