Anika Noni Rose believes it was a gift to be able to come to
Botswana and tell this tale: "It is such a positive story of
people making a life. I hope it allows the world to see
Africa/Africans as people instead of an issue. We all live
under the same sun; it just happens to be a little hotter
here in Botswana."

Knowles, Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson in the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical
Dreamgirls.

Lavender in the TV series The Starter Wife with Debra Messing.

Her impressive list of theatre credits includes the Broadway production of Footloose, the Off-Broadway
production Eli's Comin' based on the music of Laura Nyro, for which she received an Obie Award; at San
Francisco's ACT she starred in Threepenny Opera and in their production of Tartuffe. She also starred
in NY Encore's production of Purlie.

the widely acclaimed production of Tony Kushner's and Jeanine Tesori's Caroline, Or Change, which she
performed in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
