David Oyelowo plays Kremlin Busang
David Oyelowo, who plays philanderer Kremlin Busang,
says: "This film has been so much fun. Of all the roles
I've played, I haven't had the opportunity to do much
comedy, so I've bled him for everything he is worth.

"When I first read the script for this film, what struck me
was how relieved, happy and inspired I was by the fact
that we were getting to see an African story without it
being doom and gloom and oppression and wars. It is a
celebration of life and the central character Mma Ramotswe is herself a celebration of all that is
wonderful about Africa."

the Royal Shakespeare Company. For this performance he won the Ian Charleson Award in 2001 for
Best Newcomer in a Classical Role.
