The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency
The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency: David Oyelowo is Kremlin Busang

The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

David Oyelowo plays Kremlin Busang

David Oyelowo, who plays philanderer Kremlin Busang, says: "This film has been so much fun. Of all the roles I've played, I haven't had the opportunity to do much comedy, so I've bled him for everything he is worth.

Μύ

"When I first read the script for this film, what struck me was how relieved, happy and inspired I was by the fact that we were getting to see an African story without it being doom and gloom and oppression and wars. It is a celebration of life and the central character Mma Ramotswe is herself a celebration of all that is wonderful about Africa."

Μύ

On stage, David was the first black actor to play an English monarch in the title role in Henry VI for the Royal Shakespeare Company. For this performance he won the Ian Charleson Award in 2001 for Best Newcomer in a Classical Role.

Μύ

He is best known on television for the critically acclaimed series Spooks and also starred in Shoot The Messenger and Five Days.

Μύ

On film he played Orlando De Boys in As You Like It, directed by Kenneth Branagh, Dr Junju in The Last King Of Scotland, starring Forest Whitaker, and Mercury in American Blend.
