Shoebox Zoo

Peter Mullan, Jason Connery, Alan Cumming and Simon Callow are just some of the big names to star in the ambitious new family drama series Shoebox Zoo.

This charming and magical tale, which fuses real-life drama with state-of-the-art CGI animation, follows the adventures of 11-year-old American Marnie McBride as she gets to grips with her new life in Scotland and struggles to cope with the death of her mother.

Ìý

On Marnie's 11th birthday, her life takes a dramatic turn when she is led into an old junk shop and finds a dusty shoebox containing four beautifully carved animals, which spring to life at her command.

Marnie and her new friends - Ailsa the Adder, Bruno the Bear, Edwin the Eagle and Wolfgang the Wolf - embark on an adventure in search of the Book Of Forbidden Knowledge, lost over a thousand years ago.

Marnie is played by young Canadian actress Vivien Endicott Douglas, making her UK television debut.

The anarchic duo Dick (Richard McCourt) and Dom (Dominic Wood) return to CÂ鶹ԼÅÄ this autumn, with a new series of the hit Saturday morning entertainment show Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow.

Kicking off the weekend with their unique mania, the duo will be wreaking more havoc with the help of the 'bungalow heads' in the parent-free and anti-celeb zone.

Meet Fungus, a bogeyman who traipses through the tunnels of Bogeydom each day and makes his way up to the surface to go about his bogey business - making mischief in the human world.

One day his work takes him into the home of the White family, where he creates his deliciously disgusting brand of havoc.

Boogie Beebies is a new dance series created especially for CBeebies.

It aims to encourage children to get off their seats and dance along to specially commissioned pop songs.

With dance routines suitable for children's development, it promotes an interest in dance, movement and singing and also explores some interesting and inspirational locations.

In each programme the presenters - Nataylia Roni and Peter Hillier - visit a different setting and use moves suggested by that location to introduce a song and dance routine.

The programme features children learning the moves and ends with the Big Video, a pop video in which the children - including the viewers - are the stars.
