Claire Murray
Claire Murray

Claire is 26 years old and from Belfast but has lived in Spain, Portstewart and travelled Australia. She has always enjoyed writing.

Exhale by Claire Murray
I will not mention your name,
it will not pass from my lips
no rounded vowels or consonants,
no mouthly betrayal.

I will swallow it whole,
i will let it float,combine.
running into my veins,
But I will not mention your name.

I will move as normal as it travels,
I will work and live and smile.
It will become so a part of my system,
That one day i will cease to notice,
Cease to feel or think about you.
You will be absorbed and forgotten.

One day i will exhale and you will be gone,
I will breathe you and my memories out.
There you will rise and fly and leave.
Days will pass and i won't remember to think of you,
I will not mention your name.
I will just exhale you.
Exhale.
