Bamzooki is a CΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ television show where teams
from around the UK battle their zooks against each other in various
challenges.
Zooks are the creatures that you make with the
aid of the zook kit, which you can download from the Bamzooki website.
I first got zooking about January this year when
I came across it on the Internet.
I downloaded the zook kit and made my first zook.
It took a little while to get the hang of it, but after a while
I could make my zooks walk and then run!
The kit allows you to model and build zooks in
any shape or size. You must perfect them to make them fast and strong.
Joshua (far right) with his Canary Woolf team |
Calling all zookers!
In April I saw a message on the Bamzooki message
board saying that they were looking for entrants for the third CΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
series. I submitted four of my zooks: Sting-Fire, Crocodilian, Bull-Dozer
and Trancherley, and then waited for what seemed like ages.
In May the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ got in touch to say that I had
got through to the last 80 from nearly 700! I still wasn't guaranteed
a place on the show as there are only 35 places and I needed to
get a team together.
I asked by best friends from school, Alex, Curtis
and Ethan to join and we decided on the team name of Canary Woolf.
The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ came to my school and interviewed us, I
guess to see if we would be OK for TV! That was in June and it was
another two weeks before we heard the news that we were going to
be on the show!
Filming in Norwich
In July the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ came back to Norwich but this time
with a camera man and a sound man.
Joshua shows Bryan Gunn how it's done |
We started the day at Carrow Road, where Bryan
Gunn met with us and showed us around the wall of fame and the stadium.
Bryan was being filmed taking part in a celebrity
zook challenge which is a new feature for the show.
They filmed our team outside the grounds and then
we went back to my house where they filmed us for about three hours
in the garden - all of that for just a one minute video for the
show!
In October we are going to the Elstree studios
in London to film our part for the series. If, we get through our
round, we will go back again to record the semi-final and hopefully
the final. In the meantime you can keep
up to date with our team at our website!
CΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ presenter Jake Humphrey, who is from Norfolk,
will present the show which will be on television early in 2006.
