Following the FA Cup, it is the second oldest competition in association football. The first tournament started in October 1873 when 16 teams entered.

Since then there have been 25 winners of the Scottish Cup. Celtic have won the trophy most often with 41 victories.

Kick off will be at 3pm this Saturday at Scotland's national stadium, Hampden Park in Glasgow.

Celtic won the Scottish Premiership this season

For both teams this is a huge game, as Celtic and Rangers are big rivals.

Any match between the two clubs is known as the Old Firm derby - they are the two biggest names in Scottish football and are both based in Glasgow.

However, in the four derbies this season, Rangers are yet to get a win.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement said the occasion is "always more than just a trophy between these two clubs in this country".

And Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers says his team are "in good condition" having won the league "in a really good way".

Rangers will be hoping to get their first derby win against Celtic

Celtic have just beaten Rangers to win the Scottish Premiership.

It ended 93 points to 85 at the top of the table. It's Celtic's 12th title in 13 seasons.

Celtic have also won the Scottish Cup more times than any other club with 41 titles to their name, the last coming in 2023.

Rangers are not far behind with 34 Scottish Cup triumphs, the last in 2022.

Celtic have the chance to get a league and cup double and Rangers are chasing a double of their own - a cup double after winning the Scottish League Cup 1-0 against Aberdeen in December 2023.
