This year's competition did have some controversy though after the men's winner was accused of cheating.

Conkers is a game using conkers, also known as horse chestnuts. You'll find them on the floor a lot at this time of year.

The game is played by making a hole in a conker, and putting string through it. You then flick your conker back to whack your opponent's conker.

Whichever conker survives the longest wins.

Queen Conker is the title given to the person who wins the women's conker tournament.

Winner Kelci Banschbach took the crown this year, taking home a special tea towel, trophy and coaster.

She only took up the sport last year after moving to the UK, and was recommended to join in the tournament by some of her colleagues.

Kelci said her American family were a little confused by the tournament, but were proud of her nonetheless.

Conk-troversy?

There was some drama this year as winner of the men's competition was accused of cheating.

David Jakins was found with a steel conker in his pocket. If used, the steel conker would easily smash up the opponent's one.

David said he just had the steel conker as a joke and said he did not use it in the competition.

The man who lost the final has put in an official complaint about it, and the conker championships says it will be investigated.
