Villa boss Dean Smith says the club's potential is "massive" after winning the Championship play-off final to return to the Premier League.

Following Villa's 2-1 victory over Derby at Wembley on Monday, Smith says it "feels right" they are a Premier League club "because of the history and the fan base".

Smith (pictured right with captain Jack Grealish) added he had to credit former Villa boss Steve Bruce, because "his two signings", Anwar El Ghazi and John McGinn, "scored the goals today".

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Bilton on the outskirts of Rugby this morning.

The 18-year-old was taken to hospital where he died.

Warwickshire Police said the crash also involved a car and a pedestrian in her 80s who suffered serious injuries.

The car's driver was unhurt, according to the force.

West Midlands Police said the van was suspected of being involved in two burglaries in the Warwickshire area and thought to be stolen.

Three men aged 25, 26 and 29 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in police custody.

The 29-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop and the 26-year-old on suspicion of criminal damage.

The former Labour MP for Coventry Bob Ainsworth has said he voted for the Green Party in the European elections.

The ex-defence secretary revealed the information earlier when he spoke in support of Alistair Campbell. Mr Cambell, Tony Blair's former communications chief, has been expelled from the Labour Party for voting for the Lib Dems in the European elections.

Mr Ainsworth said he hadn't intended to make public his vote, but felt "obliged to do so" after Mr Campbell's expulsion.

He described the former spin doctor as "a good friend and a man who I admire greatly".

Mr Ainsworth was MP for Coventry North East until 2015.

Police say they've released a 19-year-old man arrested in connection with a fatal crash near Malvern on Friday.

The victim, a pedestrian in his 70s, died at the scene near the Robin Hood pub on Gloucester Road shortly before 19:30.
