Ravel’s sensuous mythological ballet Daphnis and Chloe meets the courtly beauty of Fauré’s Pavane in this concert by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Rising Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi is the soloist in Mozart’s lyrical Piano Concerto No. 27.

Tenor Juan Diego Flórez brings music by Verdi, Donizetti and Rossini to the Last Night. Also on the programme: Vaughan Williams’s Serenade to Music, Butterworth’s On the Banks of Green Willow and Britten’s Matinées musicales. Sakari Oramo conducts.

Mahler’s ¸éü³¦°ì±ð°ù³Ù-³¢¾±±ð»å±ð°ù is paired with Mozart’s Mass in C minor – the ‘Great’. Soprano Carolyn Sampson and bass Matthew Rose are among the soloists. They’re joined by the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and conducted by Ilan Volkov.

This year’s festival kicks off with Tchaikovsky’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ Fantasy-Overture before Sol Gabetta performs Elgar’s Cello Concerto. Finally, hear one of the greatest cantatas of the 20th century – Prokofiev’s 'Alexander Nevsky'.
