About this event
Please note this event is fully booked.
The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Proms Inspire scheme is for budding composers aged 12 to 18 who want to write their own music. The scheme provides you with a friendly environment to share ideas, participate in workshops, meet other young composers and develop your musical creativity. Best of all, it's free!Â
Join composer Fraser Trainer and explore contemporary composition techniques derived from the music of Stravinsky, Sir Harrison Birtwistle and Lutosławski, as featured in the evening’s Prom. The workshop will include a short session working practically in groups with other young composers and professional musicians. You’ll then have the opportunity to put these techniques into practice and to write your own piece for the professionals, who will perform your work at the end of the day.
