Concert Information

Hungary boasts long traditions of fine choral singing and training - especially through the pioneering work of composer-educationists such as Kodály. The choral repertoire in this part of Eastern Europe is highly-developed too and in this concert James Morgan pilots the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers through a concert giving a bird's-eye-view of this fascinating but - in England - seldom-heard music, with choral works by Kodály, Bartók, Ligeti and lesser-known composers such Levente Gyöngyösi and Miklós Kocsár.

This early-evening concert precedes the Dukas, Bartók and Bright Sheng Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Orchestra concert in the Barbican Hall on the same evening.
