Pick a vamp, any vamp:
Lestat de Lioncourt

The main character of Anne Rice's bestselling Vampire Chronicles series, Lestat was born a minor French nobleman in 1760, and was forced to become a vampire in his twenties.

He's an impulsive, passionate character, not fond of playing by the rules, and ruthless at getting what he wants.

Over his long life, he's sired several other vampires, including the cynical, weary Louis, been left for dead in a swamp, become a rock star and raised the Queen of all vampires from a 6000 year sleep. So, he's had an interesting life.

Lestat has been portrayed on screen twice. Tom Cruise took the role in the 1994 adaptation Interview with the Vampire, and was quite the best thing on screen in all of his scenes, while Stuart Townsend played rock star Lestat in 2002's Queen of the Damned.

Fear ratings
Lestat may be charming, but he's also a cold-blooded killer. Beware. 8/10

Blood factor
Lots of it. He can drain a poor cove dry in seconds. 10/10

Cuddliness quotient.
Cuddly is not a term you'd apply to this haemoglobin-loving aesthete. 0/10

Sexy beast?
I'll say! Long flowing locks and a wicked smile wowed the ladies of the costume-drama era, while tight leather trews and rock star mojo covers more recent birds. 8/10
