tiny
As well as marking the world's most famous naked lady, in 2002 the city commemorated its heritage in a week of events, aimed at the whole family.

There was the hugely successful historic Godiva Procession and a very popular Godiva Historic Car Run. Following the historic theme, there was even a mediaeval jousting performance in the War Memorial Park.

The festival also coincided with the Golden Jubilee celebrations and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Live, so Coventry had a crazy party spirit over the Bank Holiday Weekend of 1-3 June.

The procession featured four scenes from the city's history and had a Golden Jubilee theme.

The famous people that were re-enacted included Queen Isabella and the Black Prince, characters from the Gunpowder Plot, the Civil War and the War of the Roses.

The whole city came together for the Godiva Street Party with Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Live. See the gallery from that event by following the link on the left.

The party continued into the following weekend, when the city's War Memorial Park was taken over by a host of tents and arenas which provided entertainment for the family.

Music included the best of rock, pop, dance, Asian underground and jazz.

There was also a host of family entertainment, from the Devil's Horsemen to falconry displays and sheep dog trials.
