1)Who do you think will clinch 2nd place in the drivers' championship?
2)Do you think Jenson should sign for Brawn next year?
3)Do you think Kobayashi was drving dangerously?
It will be interesting to here your views on these and well done Jenson for fantastic season and a very spirited drive on Sunday.

a quick question, why hasn't anyone yet suggested Jenson for the other seat at McLaren? They can provide him with the car, the engine, the money. Mercedes like him (he's just won them a couple of World Chapionships), the boys at Woking would surely like to keep the No.1 on the car and they can't possibly build another dog like the one they started with this year. They have a track record unlike BAR/Honda/Brawn, all they don't have is Ross. Or will Mercedes be paying Jenson's World Champions wages at Brawn? Jenson for 2010!

What a fantastic race.

At the end of last season, I thought Jensen's F1 race career was coming to a close. When he started, he was the youngest, and showed early promise, and then later in the Benneton, although he was very unlucky. I thought the move to BAR was a mistake, as I couldn't see them being a 'Top Team'. But Jensen stuck with them with Honda and persevered. It's been a long time coming, but finally all the hard work has paid off, along with a run of good luck.

I don't know who I'd choose to take the 2nd spot. Rubens has worked hard for it this season. He's had some rotten luck at times (and some tantrums) but he worked through it. With the title already in the bag for Jensen, Rubens should expect a great deal of support from his team-mate, and while he is now 2 points behind Vettel, I think Rubens has the better chance.

But I'd like Vettel to take it. He's a young driver, fighting fit and eager to win. He's got a good head on his shoulders, and a lot of talent. Asuming Red Bull have a good car again next year, I'd tip Vettel for the title.

Kobayashi certainly knows his way around in a formula 1 car. I think he handled himself very well during the race and qualifying. He's one to watch.

Despite personally wanting Rubens Barrichello to win, I have to say hats of to Jenson for a fantastic race...he is truly a worthy world champion and i wouldn't be surprised to see him win in Abu-Dhabi now that the pressure is off him.

My questions this week are:
- Do you think Kobayashi should have been penalised for cutting across on Nakajima
- Do you think that Brawn will still be winning championships next year
- Do you think Kobayashi could be a star of the future
- Whose fault was the accident between Jarno and Adrian...and on a slightly less serious note, who do you think would have won if they had a fight :), it looked like things were really going to kick off for a minute!

It IS a great story Murray, but you seem to have ignored all the controversy this season, and surely that colours how we interpret the result.

I find myself not celebrating an Englishman winning like I did last year. What little faith I had in the sport has been eroded and I don't believe that Button is the best driver out there, nice guy though I'm sure he is.

robrace, I fully agree with you. It's far from certain Brawn will be on the pace next year and I think Button should ride the high and move to the empty McLaren seat.

CWT: You have a point, as I've said before, if you put Lewis and Jenson in equal cars then Lewis would probably win. The fact is though that Lewis never was in a position to defend his title and while Jenson has his iffy moments this season, no one could really take advantage of them.

He is 'not' the first guy to win the F1 title in that fashion. This was his first serious attempt at a title and he pulled it off after a career of being in "dogs" and it's also the first time the World championship has been won by Brits in consecutive Brits in my lifetime!

Maybe it'll be a one off, who knows, who cares? Still awesome!

Jenson should team Hamilton? No way! (Sorry) I'd like to think Jenson will stay at Brawn, Jenson Button fully deserves his F1 title!

Murray - a couple of quick questions:
Which country's stewards would you say are the most pragmatic or lenient - and which are the most legalistic?
How do you feel about races being decided by the stewards after the broadcasters have packed up their microphones?
It was a pleasant change to see little interference from the stewards at Brazil this year compared to other recent races - making the commentary around various incidents a delight rather than an extended wait for the inevitable penalties. Late decisions (like 2003) rather demean the extraordinary professionalism of our commentary teams.
And how about the FIA introducing an extra podium award for the year's champion in case he doesn't finish on the top three at the deciding race? Even if it were only a bottle of champers?

Hi Murray, always love watching your review videos, and what a great race to talk about!

Tremendous excitement and many superb overtaking manouvres, as we returned to this fantastic circuit.

Great to see Jenson Button win the title, and what an immense achievement for Brawn, in only their first season. This is good to see, and good for the sport, and also encouraging to those teams making their debut next year.

I must also send out my congrats to Kamui Kobayashi, who I thought did a brilliant job in the Toyota! Gave us lots to whoop about! I wonder if Toyota actually manage to lure Kimi Raikkonen into their midst...now that would be interesting...

Good thoughts as ever, Murray. With the media understandably awash with the glory of Button's triumph, it's been easy to overlook the tremendous performances of Webber and Hamilton. Without doubt one of the best races I've had the privilege to witness.

Right, about Jenson vs Lewis in the same cars.

I think if both cars are at their peak and running flawlessly, Jenson would win the majority of the races. However, if both were asked to adapt to certain misgivings or failings within the machine, Hamilton would be far better equipped to deal with them. It's an odd situation, where I believe the younger driver is the more mature, but Button is peerless when he feels everything is perfect for him.

Either way, we have two very talented and very humble world champions to celebrate, and I wish them both the best of luck next season.

Man, I don't know much about Formula 1 politics, but why isn't this guy still doing TV commentary??

The voice is still there, the passion is still there, what's the delay? Get him behind the mic Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ!

Great video, some great comments. I think you do have to feel sorry for Rubens - he's a great driver, but he has just always seems to have the worst luck in the world when racing at Interlagos. With regard to the race, I wanted to ask a question for your next "Questions Answered" video (if you're doing another one):

Should Kovalinen and Mclaren have been given a harsher penalty?

I ask because they only got fined, whereas Massa got a drive-through penalty in Singapore last year (and he didn't set fire to the pitlane, or have to have his fuel hose removed by another teams mechanics). What do you make of it?

Once again a spot-on review of the race, and my heartfelt congratulations go to Jenson, Rubens and especially Ross Brawn and the rest of his team for a SUPERLATIVE season! I still find it incredible that this team didn't "exist" a month before the season started, and to pull-off two world championships in their first season is outstanding.

Jenson no doubt proved his "critics" wrong by driving the pants off his Brawn in what was undoubtedly the race of the year. But my question is, who are these "critics" that are mentioned time and time again by the media? I have never read an article or listened to a report this year in which the author has denounced Jenson's driving and expressed an opinion that he would not be a worthy champion. Still, whoever they are, he produced a Champion's Drive in Brazil, and hats off to him.

What a season, and what a breath of fresh air the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ have been in bringing the drama into our living rooms. The scenes of celebration in the Brawn garage on Sunday are going to stay with me for a long time to come. As a legendary and brilliant commentator once said, I had a lump in my throat!

My question for your next Q&A feature is:

Why does Adrian Sutil always seem to be on the receiving end of some major shunts? As far as I can tell, he always seems to be the innocent party, but is there some kind of aspect of his driving which lulls the driver behind into making a move which inevitably leads to a collision?

Thankfully the infatuation with Buttons success is now subsiding within the media. I was sickened to watch three prime time Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ news programmes salivate over him, while not even mentioning Webers name. Indeed, even the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ F1 web page did virtually the same. Class stuff.

Make the most of KOBOYASHI at the next race, for if he gets a car in 2010 it wont be long before the FIA & entrepreneurs get their talons in him and sanitise his driving style. After all, you can't have F1 drivers, who earn millions, driving in far less precarious situations than we do every day on our way to work, right?

How do you think the achievements of Button & Brawn compare with those of Stewart & Tyrrell in 1971? I appreciate that Stewart already had one WDC under his belt after winning it for effectively the same team (Matra) in '69

Also what are your thoughts on what will happen with the qualifying format next season given that:

a) fuel levels will no longer be a consideration?
b) that FOM (rather than necessarily the FIA) will be keen to avoid what happened this weekend in Brazil?

Of course it could stay as it is and the top 10 shoot-out could be with the cars on minimal fuel levels again but with no refuelling allowed during the session, will they have to start qualifying on full tanks? And if the cars spend the night in parc ferme again next season, will all qualifying have to be done with race fuel on board?

Last year when Massa had his fuel rig problem his team had to run down the pit lane to sort it.Was it not a lot more sporting to see the brawn team help out the the driver this time? Even to the point of waving Kovi back out as quick as possible.

The big difference between the Massa incident and the Kovalainen one was that Massa pulled up right at the end of the pit lane (way past the last garage) whereas Kovalainen stopped right in front of the Brawn pit!!

It was in Brawn's best interests to clear the fuel line from Heikki's car and waving him out just in case one of their drivers needed to come in.
