Hi Murray! I'm 50% torn between Vettel being boring - yet the other 50% of me says we're witnessing one of the best drivers ever in Formula One, but with the best car. Just how good is Vettel?

Murray, this year saw the fantastic success of the Indian GP on a brand new circuit, which circuit no longer in use on the F1 schedule would you like to see restored and returned to the calander?

Murray, Teams like Renault and Red Bull have more drivers than they can accomodate at the moment, and some drivers have arguably hung on to race seats for longer than they deserve. Meanwhile there is a flood of good reserve drivers (Hulkenberg, Paffett, Chandhok) trying to get seats. What would you do to make sure the best drivers are on the grid at races? In-season testing? 3-car teams? Something else?

Why is there always a focus on TV about Hamilton when he has been outdriven by Button most of the season? Hamilton is a 'win it or bin it' driver, Button is smooth and consistant perhaps not as exciting but points mean prizes.

How candid do you think F1 drivers should be allowed to be? A lot of interviews seem very bland but when Petrov spoke out about Renault (no more stridently than a Hunt or Lauda) his head was called for by some.

Given a full season of the new rules, more varibles with tyres, etc. do we really need DRS? Do you feel that DRS reduces the 'quality' of a pass, to the detriment of the excitement and integrity of the racing?
I personally think the tyre variation has been the better point of interest this season, and is less artificial than DRS

I do appreciate and respect your experience and and coverage on F1 over the past decades. But I must say, I was taken somewhat aback when I watched one of your reviews about the all-time great F1 drivers.

I do not understand how Alain Prost can be on there and not Senna. We all know for a fact, that Eyrton out-raced (and out-qualified) Prost. I have watch so many videos and footage about their races and its a well established fact that Senna was a better and more committed F1 driver than Prost was. Yes, I know there is the argument that Prost won 4 times, but that was stricly due to him having a car far superior to the rest of the folks at the time (not to mention that exclusivity clause of his contract with Williams at the time which barred Mansell or Senna to drive the car for some time. The contract was later relaxed to allow Mansell to drive but not Senna.

To me, that call that Senna was not amongst that top elite of drivers for you, takes away so much respect I had for your assessment of the sport.

Hi Murray, most of the drivers complain about the bad visibility of the mirrors on their cars so why don't the teams use rearward facing cameras as F1 is meant to be the home of cutting-edge technology and mirrors are antiquated

It now looks they wait with the handling of the appeal until after the details of the deal have been communicated.

My Question is regarding the raw speed of Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso. Vettel has proven to be the king of Qualifying with those blistering laps in the dying moments of Q3. My Question is who has the most raw speed out of Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso? Given that they are all in peak form, who will you think be the fastest?

Do you think there has been a shift in support from Lewis Hamilton over to Jenson Button at McLaren this year? Martin Whitmarsh seems keen to remind us about Jenson even when Lewis has won a race! (Abu Dhabi for instance).

Do you think McLaren have got the balance of support wrong this year and have struggled to be fair to both drivers? I know both Lewis and Jenson are tied on three wins now, which is great. I hope they will have a car capable of winning from the start of next season - here's hoping!

Where do you think Paul Di Resta will end up? I hope never Ferrari as their drivers always end up doing something to make me hate them. I used to think Alonso was brilliant but everything he does annoys me, and I hope if he goes to Merc, Schumacher is gone as I don't want him learnign how to endanger the lives of other drivers and then act like it's their fault.

Sadly, it looks as though Massa will be dropped by Ferrari in 2013... so, with Kubica's return to fitness unproven, as yet, who do you see as the ideal new Ferrari "Number 2" driver? What about Kamui Kobayashi as a perfect choice? With a couple of seasons' experience, he's now no rookie... Alonso wouldn't really see him as a threat (as he might an on-form Kubica)... the Italians would surely go for his exuberant driving style... and, as an F1 fan, I'd love to see him mixing it with the top drivers in a competitive car.

Do you think Paul Di Resta has been given a fair crack of the whip at Force India? I'm speaking specifically about race tactics. It seems that whenever Force India have adopted a split race strategy for their drivers, Adrian Sutil has benefited more often than not. When there are three drivers competing for two seats - Hulkenberg waiting in the wings - might this jeopardise the young Scotman's chances?

Murray, after the tragic loss of Daniel Wheldon, should more be done in Formula One to protect the driver's head in the event of an accident? The Schumacher Liuzzi crash in Abu Dhabi last year showed how a canopy or forward roll bar/struts could deflect cars/debris in this sort of incident.

Hi murray, do you think shumacher can win the title if he has a car good enough, would be amazing to see him and vettel battling it out week in week out!!

With the demise of the hot blown diffuser do you think this will change the pecking order of the grid or do you think Adrian Newey's genius will shine through once again. Vettel is cleary a fast driver but, is this all he is? He can drive fast but cannot race, is it good for formula one to have a double world champion who is yet to win a 'classic' GP?

With Button Finishing ahead of Hamilton on points does this indicate that Jenson is a faster or at least a more complete driver than Lewis or is it because Hamilton has had a bad season and Button an exceptional one and do you expect the order of 2010 being restored in 2012?

Williams have really underperformed this season when you take into account their resources and expertise in relation to other midfield teams, and in my opinion they have not had a good season since 2003. Do you think that Kimi Raikkonen is the man to help them turn their fortunes around, especially considering his reputation gained during his time at Ferrari of not helping to develop the car?

Murray. We keep hearing about how much faster the Red Bull car is than everything else. However, Jenson has regularly beaten Mark Webber in the latter half of the season, is the car really that good, or is it really Sebastian that is making the difference? Is he really that good?

In light of Lewis Hamilton's recent 'emotional' problems, do you feel drivers have become a bit too sensitive. Did they always be like this? I could never imagine Nigel Mansell saying anything like what Lewis has been saying...

Murray, why is there so little media interest in the young driver test?

It was far more interesting than your average practice session, as the teams were exploring solutions for next season, like Williams and Mercedes with periscope exhausts, and it was the first time we got to see the 2012 profile tyres.

Even though there was some comments on the poor calibre of some of the pay drivers at the test, there was more than just Vergne and Bianchi to be impressed by: Bottas in the Williams and Clos in the HRT were amazing; Leimer in the Sauber and Wickens in the Renault/Lotus and then the Virgin/Marussia also did well.

If it was streamed on the internet or shown on the red button I'm sure it would get a good number of views. It's been very difficult to follow as the live timing isn't even available on the F1 website.

Ignoring the contribution of the drivers, how would you compare this year's Red Bull car alongside other great cars of the past such as the Lotus 72, Lotus 79, McLaren MP4/4, Williams FW14 or any other car you would consider of similar levels of excellence.

Hi Murray,

Should the limit on the number of people working on a team be raised? Front runners such as Ferrari have complained again this year that they need more to cover the (possibly) 20 races next season. Do you think that is unfair on smaller teams with less backing such as HRT?

Also, I have been dissapointed at the lack of action in Q3 at the moment. Maybe a point should be given for every driver to finish in the top 8 in Q3 next year, with two given for pole? Then we should stop seeing people like di resta focusing so much on race setup during saturday.

This year, the stewards were meant to be much more transparent with their decision making, such as by releasing video footage not available in the world feed that influenced their decision in giving or not giving a penalty. Why has this not happened (apart from a couple of Driver Stewards giving their opinion to the media afterwards)? Do you think the stewarding will ever become more transparent?

Do you think it would be better to have points penalties rather than time penalties or grid penalties? (Drive throughs can vary greatly in how much they affect a drivers race. Giving a grid penalty to a HRT driver is really no penalty at all.)

Hi Murray, may i start by saying you are a legend & while i enjoy the current presenters of F1 (martin & eddie & dc) they for me are just not you, you are sorely missed old friend. My question to you murray is that since this deal has been announced between sky & bbc (which the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ claim to be ecstatic about & claim we should all be over the moon about) how do you feel about it? I have followed F1 for over 25yrs & i'm gutted to not be able to watch all the races live. It has been noted in the commentaries this season that some teams are choosing not to set a lap time in qualifying 3 (Q3) to save a set of tyres and pick a tyre to start on, do you think teams should be forced to set a lap time in Q3? (excepting for those who suffer failures and/or crashes and cannot set one). Would a rule, saying that those choosing not to set a lap time start the race from the pitlane, work? Or is this an issue that can't/won't be changed?

With the likely demise of the US GP, meaning there may be 19 races instead of 20 next year, will this mean the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ will now be broadcasting less than half the races next year, and will also not be allowed by Sky to show the last race of the season?

A strong and effective board of directors can keep a CEO in check. Mechanisms can be put in place to prevent anyone from holding power for too long. As F1 continues to push for even bigger financial returns for Ecclestone inc. has it ever crossed your mind that the sport we all once knew and loved has been prostituted?

I believe that Bernie's EnF1terainment Circus is now totally unrecognisable as motorsport, it has become the playground of billionaires where competition is dictated by squandering nauseating amounts of cash. Bernie fed an anorexic F1 with exposure, the bloated mutant that staggers from country to country on his current gravy-train is the end result of unfettered greed. The circus is manipulated to try and make it interesting. Maybe rain sprays soon ! Or manipulate the tyre manufacturers, ban, lift ban, impose DRS, whatever next! Eventually he will alienate the loyal fan base and it will end. F1 that is, greed knows no bounds it will just move on to another sport.

Ive been following your F1 commetary since you first picked up a microphone for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, even watched during the itv period.

I would like to know if the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ will be showing full reruns, or just limited highlights on the non live races next season.

Ive allways enjoyed your work, but sadly unless we can watch F1 in full on terristrial TV next season, the last race from Brazil this year will be the last time we will be able to follow the sport we have supported since the 1950s.
