great comments murray, I couldn't agree more about Webber. A lot of people have been very critical of him, saying Vettel will dominate but I believe he will really push Vettel this year and there is no reason why he can't win races.

As for all the big teams struggling, well it means either way we are set for a sensation. Either someone will storm back from here and out fight Brawn and Red Bull or we will one of those two new teams incredibly take the constructors and drivers trophies.

I will be very intrigued to hear your thoughts on Bahrain, Murray!

Great post Murray, thank you. Like you I am delighted for all at Red Bull. The wet is always a great leveler. However might the Chinese result also be the result of the diffuser runners just not being able to keep their tyres working as well in the dry? Do you see Brawn back on top for Bahrain? Or will the Red Bull work as well in the desert heat in those fast corners?

Murray, it is so good to hear your voice and listen to your expert view again!

and yes, Mark Webber is great, lovable, down to earth guy, and I agree that given the car (and taking away all the bad luck hes had in the past) he would win manier races.

I had the pleasure of meeting him back in december 2007 in Excel centre at London, he is a genuine guy.

This blog is great, I'm now a subscriber. I have one question though - where was this filmed? There's some great cars in there, but its clearly a different location to Donnington museum (where David Coulthard presented his video on technical changes the other week).

appart from the mix up between the tyre wall, it was fantastic! but who doesn't make mistakes? the great martin once said, in an attempt to explain why cars perform better as more rubber is laid on the track, said that the rubber on the tyre have a chemical reaction with the rubber laid on the track instead of saying that as the holes on the track fills up with rubber, the track surface becomes flatter, smoother, increasing the contact surface between the tyre and track, therefore increasing traction.
I would love murray to convince the bbc to employ james alan along side martin.
