Jonathan Murphy

Technology & Creativity Blog editor

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's first ever 24 hour  began this morning in London's New Broadcasting House.  More than 100 editorial and technical staff are gathering in teams that will be working through the night and into the following morning.

Their challenge - to create new algorithms and formats to surface Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News Online content to a more diverse audience.   The teams will be exploring how data can help journalists make content that fairly captures the variety of people and stories across the UK.

Fiona Campbell, Controller Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News Mobile & Online, sets out the challenge

There will be a full report, including the announcement of the winning team and interviews, on this blog next week.  We'll keep you posted.
