SNAPPING AGAIN BUT WHY ?

Chris Evans | 15:02 UK time, Wednesday, 23 April 2008

Just arrived at work and there are snappers outside. Now you see, I'm not as ...

snappable as I used to be. They tend only to papp me nowadays when there is something afoot. Sometimes it's something other times it's nothing. I wonder if there's anything going on today.

This did used to cause me some minor paranoia mainly because I could never remember what I'd been up to, even as recently as the night before. Those were the days and indeed these are the days. Worry is not so much a factor lately as I go home most nights and those nights on which I do stay out more involve a meal and a few glasses of wine rather than a dray full of beer and a bender !

How about a picture of me carrying out some dog therapy, in the rain, in the garden, AT 7.30 this morning. The book I'm reading is The Complete History of The Ferrari 250's. It's one of Enzo's favorites - him being half Italian an all.

Oh Christophe, I wouldn't worry if I were you. Billie probably went out with no make-up on and they need to find out just what you think about that then!

Or they spotted Natasha at the chiropodist or something equally bonkers.

Or Noel Fielding is about, possibly with CtD on his arm...wot with the Courtney Love debacle, who knows eh?

Anyhoo, there's already a wonderful picture of you, and Natasha at your wedding...they'll never get one like that!

    Hoi,

I'm looking at that picture and trying to decide where exactly the therapy is occuring?
However, Enzo is looking great..... Much healthier looking than I expected. Well Done For that.

Sun is shining here in Sunny Ar-d-Ross-An, and the Restaurant across the road is opening tonight, and we've got comp tickets for the soiree. Things are looking up. A decent cup of coffee is available only 20 yards away. Ah The Luxury!

    What a great looking dog.

What is it with people and PJ's this morning.

Neighbough nocked on the door at 6.30 this morning in his Pj's to ask if I had any string and brown paper.

Apparently his daughter needs to take a paper bag with her butties in to the museum as she was dressed in victorian costume. Well it does take all sorts to make up this colurfull world.

Also first warm day of the year yesterday and guess what the air conditioning has run out of that funny gas so it was like sitting in front of a hair dryer. Why does this happen?

    Have a great show

    Hi CLP,

Great picture of Enzo, and of course you too xx

As gorgeous as Enzo is, I would be terrified of him. I love dogs but for some reason I'm really scared of German Shepherds!

Debbie - when I got home last night the biggest wasp I've ever seen was on my kitchen window and get this all my windows were closed! So I dread to think how it got in! Anyway I was very very very brave and caught it with the magnificent spider catcher from Kleenez (other catalogue products available), would highly recommend it, the catcher that is, but sorry I don't come with it for catching......hahaha

I've completely run out of steam! Doesn't help that I've been setting up all my new payroll files this afternoon....dull dull dull!

Enzo looks so lovely. I am very fond of German Shepherds though. My dad used to have a Belguim Shepherd and she was the most gentle, intelligent dog. He still misses Tara to this day.

And as for wasps....what purpose do they serve? Why are they here, do they pollenate like bees do and why are they so angry?!

Before the blog police arrive to arrest me, I must fess up to impersonating Bingo.
Well, I thought I might be able to gate crash Gingembre’s virtual dinner party.

Anyway apologies ta all. Especially B’s Mum.

After reading the speech Stephen Hawkins gave to NASA. It got me wondering in the future will mankind look down to Earth from the Moon. The old ones reminiscing about the good old times, when we had atmosphere, rain, trees, birds.
But today, I also wonder what are they doing on the Space Station? What is the purpose behind all the shuttle trips? Could it be that they are building Terminal 6 in readiness for Intergalactic Travel? Imagine your suitcase lost in space.

Blimey Gingembre, where are you? It's dark and p*ing down here in Brentford!!

So who saw the Apprentice? And more importantly, who saw CLP's piano playing just before it? Brill timing for a Radio 2 ad I'd say!!

Happy Thirsty Thursday all - I'm off tomorrow, 3 day weekend, woo hoo!!

    T xxx

  • Comment number 43.

Duh, I didn't mean me (although v nice of you to say so), I meant Bingo, and you impersonationed pretty good too...although...izzichew? Metal guru?

Anyhoo, my conspiracy theory is...Terminal 5 has a massive secret underground bunker in which they are hiding all the building materials for the next space station (T6). They are attaching small pieces to the fuselage of all aircraft due to take off, which then jettison at an appointed time towards Area 51b...this plan only comes unstuck when said aircraft is only flying to Jersey, but you can't get it right all the time.

Therefore, the completion date for T6 of 2015 will probably be put back until the Olympic stadium is finished, around about 2019, but they can't confirm whether it will be morning or afternoon.

Oooh Clodagh - did you know that angry and / or damaged wasps emit phemerones which attract their mates - hence your terrorist attack on the Liffey! As to what purpose they serve, hmmm . Same purpose as traffic wardens perhaps?

And Debbie - I too have a belgium shepherd (he'll be 11 next month). He is such a delightful dog, so bright and intelligent, gentle and brill. Wonderful breed, only trouble is they occasionally get 'black' days when nothing is right and boy are they depressed. But oh so lovely...

Wasps - little horrors indeed, but they do actually serve a porpoise. Its them that does the cleaning up after all the fruit has fallen and starts going all a-gooey on the ground. Oh, and also they are starting to contribute even more so to the wonderment of evolution, what with anaphylactic (sic! I think) shock sufferers throughout the world being stung and getting really rather dead or at least proper poorly. Other than mankind, they are our only natural threat/predator - except that they don't eat us afterwards, unless maybe if we were also covered in the aforementioned gooeyness.

I used to be petrified of them, to the point of vomiting if they came near me, but having hornets nests in my roof for the past 5 years I can handle them a bit better now. I suppose its like having a fear of dogs, but somehow the chihuahua doesn't make your flesh crawl.

Oh, and the reason that you are getting more and more is because they is waking up from their hibernation, so Spring must be here. Rejoice one and all, but keep that swatter handy.
