HAPPY EASTER, HAPPY EASTER, FROM YOUR PRIESTER FROM YOUR PRIESTER.

Chris Evans | 15:54 UK time, Thursday, 20 March 2008

Good reaction to yesterday's blog - ta very much, enjoyed your examples of equally pathetic MEN. Wanna hear another ? I have another pal who...

... when it comes to Christmas time, drives up to Birmingham from London on Christmas morning, where his mum, who's driven down from Blackpool meets him with a Christmas dinner all plated up and tin foiled with a flask of gravy. One year he had three pals round, so she made them one each as well !

Mother's fault or son's fault ? That is the question.

Really looking forward to the easter break, tired, tired, tired. Going for a beer after work with the gang here tonight and then home where I may not leave the house at all for four days. On the other hand if the weather picks up, I might go for a fly, it's been so long I need to check whether or not my collective still works ! Then there's always the pub, I might go and show my face in our new gaff which is just around the corner from the gaff we've had for a couple of years now. (Notice I do not use this site for a cheap plug of either.) I think the sofa and the Mrs. will feature heavily though, individually and together.

So from the end of this four day week to the beginning of the next I wish you well.

See you Tuesday.

DEFINITELY the mother's fault! The son should have a bit more self-respect too. If he wants to enjoy his mother's cooking at Christmas, he could at least go and visit her so that she can get him to wash the dishes afterwards. Still, if she's mad enough to drive all that way to feed him, she'd probably clean up after him too! Pathetic!

Have a restful weekend Chris and all the bloggers. While you're sitting with your feet up, think of me and the boys from work, schlepping up the West Highland Way to raise a few bob for the charity we work for - and the forecast is SNOW. Br. Think a few pubs may be visited to get warm.

Ok, I admit it, I'm part of the support team and definitely won't be walking the million miles, but I will try and do a little bit. Why isn't Easter in June?

Thought I'd let you know that after twenty two years of trying to explain to my boyfriend & then husband that it was his duty to buy me the most expensive & glossiest Easter Egg but being told that he'd rather buy me a box of chocs or a bar (neither materialised!!) I've finally received my first egg!!! How's that for perseverance?

HAPPY EASTER to you & your Mrs

    Hellooooooooo

The mother sounds as if she would be the one making a quick batch of tea and buns for the "poor boys holding those heavy guns" if you stuck her in front of a firing squad. She'd probably insist on doing the washing up too!!

No lozzing around on the sofa for me, I'm off antiquing - no not chasing gery haired blokes - but hitting the antique fairs over the Bank Hols weekend. Lots if interesting stuff and the odd bargain.

Every one else enjoy the sofa!

Back from the Great Glen. Lots of snow on the A9 from Inverness. Snow gates closed at Tomintoul - didn't see Mrs. Mackay with her shovel, she's buried in a snowdrift!!

The boys who were doing the sponsored walk had to abandon it at the top of a mountain and turn back, so we'll try to finish it in better weather. If anyone's going up that way, try Mrs. Jamieson at Lilac Cottage in South Laggan. Lovely lady and lovely B&B.

Hope everyone is well and tucked up with their DVD's and not going anywhere.

    Love, Anne x

Gingembre - you are right about G, she has been my guardian angel since we met on this blog! My love and thoughts are with your Daughter xx Having you to give her the love and support she needs she will get through this xx

    G - {{{hug}}} just because I can xx

All, it's been a while since I've blogged. Think it was probably November time. Lots has happened since then, health wise I've had one thing after another to the point where I'm sick of being ill! My wee auntie went into hospital and sadly passed away in February. She was the last surviving Auntie on my Mum's side of the family. Her and my Mum were best friends, I miss her terrible, being so close to her I always felt I had a part of my Mum still with me. I haven't really felt like blogging because there has been a lot of doom and gloom over the last few months. I have been lurking though and sent out positive thoughts to those who needed them and congratulatory ones for those who of you who had something to celebrate xx

I hope you all had a lovely Easter. I met up with ChrissieS on Saturday in Glasgow for Lunch and a few glasses of wine. We had a lovely day, Chrissie chose an excellent italian restaurant, the food was delicious!

    Take care all
    Love Mary xx

Whats with this weather? Had gales and torrential rain (went Arse over elbow trying to close our big wooden gates that had blown open) Snow and warm sunshine in Kent this weekend !! Hope everyone had a great weekend. x

Good god you're all barmy. Yes it's the mammy's fault. It's the parents' fault that we have so many out of control kiddies out there maskarading in adults' bodies because their parents were unable to understand that being taught 'no' in a loving environment is a very huge part of learning to be an adult.

Teachers are now saying primary school kiddies are a nightmare because their parents can't/won't discipline them. Things can only get worse.

Grow up, and be the parent in this relationship,

Best not say anymore. Although I did observe what a fantastic NHS we have.
Sat in an emergency doctors surgery at the hospital, we all heard a lady use her mobile to call home to say, β€œI am still waiting to see a doctor but could you take the chicken out of the deep freeze and I will make a risotto when I get home”.

And howya one and all. Hope the Easter Bunny came up to snuff and you didn't end up locked in a bitter and violent dispute with your close family over the Picture Round and my unjustified disqualification from the Fruit or Reptile songs, just because my rendition of I've Got A Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts was a bit flat. Villains and cheats, my lot.

Shorter week still for me, I'm off to Termonfeckin to chain meself to a tree and claim political asylum on Friday, and given the disrespect with which I've bin' treated this weekend I'm contactin' Social Services as well.

Calling you loud and proud, wall to wall, across the hall, from Milan, the city that never sleeps (in italian) - heading to Slovenia on Wednesday, possibly via Vienna.

Beautiful city, if you can be bothered to use the underground - although everywhere seemed to be closed on Easter Monday when we arrived.

Red wine in abundance ( a bottle of Sambuka is 6 euros) and the sun is shining on my handsome Irish head . . .

Hope everyone has survived the excesses of Easter, perhaps lives have changed, opinions formed, vistas expanded . . .

Anyways, have a great one guys and gals - maybe catch you up in Lubjiana (Slovenia capitial, which I still cannot pronounce properly)
