Superstar takeover of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1 on Christmas Day

Little Mix, BTS, The 1975, Charli XCX, HRVY and a Hollywood All-Star line-up including Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Emma Stone and Benedict Cumberbatch are set to host their own hour long shows on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1 this Christmas Day with festivities starting from 10am.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Sound Of 2019 revealed its longlist of artists who are tipped for success next year. The longlist has been chosen by a panel of industry experts including Stormzy, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Emily Eavis and Olly Alexander.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two has commissioned a social history series from 72 Films exploring the extraordinary reach of the Murdoch empire across the British press.

Entertainment

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sports Personality of the Year trophy has finally spoken out about his wonderful 65 year career living with some of the world’s greatest sporting stars.

Northern Ireland

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Northern Ireland have launched their Christmas Appeal, Playing Our Part: Everybody Needs Somebody. It aims to raise awareness of the effects of loneliness and to offer advice, guidance and ideas on how everybody can do something - big or small - to someone in need.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ has made the 1940s issues of the Radio Times magazine publicly available online for the first time. The release, covers World War Two, the immediate post-war years and key landmark events in British history such as the Royal Wedding in 1947 and the 1948 London Olympics.
