In all years the number of men infected is greater than women (1 mark). The number of women infected remains constant, well below 1000 per year (1 mark). Between 2006 and 2012 the number of men infected remained constant around 3000 (1 mark). Between 2012 and 2015 the number of men infected increased from around 3000 to over 5000 (1 mark).

In all years the number of men infected is greater than women (1 mark). The number of women infected remains constant, between 5000 and 10000 per year (1 mark). Between 2006 and 2010 the number of men infected remained constant around 10000 and 15000 (1 mark). Between 2010 and 2015 the number of men infected increased to over 30000 (1 mark).

Gonorrhoea infections are not found equally throughout England (1 mark). Fewer infections are found in East Anglia, the South West and in parts of Northern England (1 mark). Higher rates of infection are found in major cities (1 mark). These include London and Birmingham (1 mark).
